David was part of the professional consultancy team who were appointed by the RSPCA to deliver the £1.0m renovation of the former United Utilities water treatment plant to provide a contemporary new animal centre at Strinesdale, Oldham.
The project was a collaboration between Oldham Council, The RSPCA and local contractor Emanuel Whittaker Ltd. The services provided were architectural design, project management, cost consultancy and Principal Designer.
The development is designed to be compliant with current national RSPCA licensing legislation. The Strinesdale Centre has become a centre of excellence across the North West of England with a strategic partnership forged with Nottingham University to place students at Strinesdale with the new operation theatre. Isolation facilities were integral to the design.
WhiteleyEaves Ltd provided project management including cost consultancy and principal designer services and North West based contractor DJ Hughes Construction Ltd successfully delivered the project.
David was commissioned to provide a ‘turn key’ solution for the £350k redevelopment at Cain Lane, Halifax, Calderdale. Services provided were architectural design, employers agent and principal designer roles and Mirfield Development the contractor. The new build townhouses provide 102M² of luxury residential accommodation arranged over 3 floors. Isolation facilities were integral to the design.
